Job Description

The successful incumbent will fulfill the necessary requirements within the Paint Maintenance department to meet the company’s objectives by providing plant availability to ensure a facility that enables the production of vehicles of quality standard in a cost effective manner.

Key Job Functions
  • Perform Electrical/Mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Maintenance, Fault finding & Repairs on Robot, PLC, Motors, Hoists, Conveyors, DB’s, Lights, Fans, Spray systems, Lifters, roller conveyors, ovens & All Plant facility equipment
  • Servicing & Repairs of Paint equipment, Pneumatic Pumps & Motors,
  • Participation in machine & facility upgrade projects
  • Perform Legal Compliance Checks. Maintain quality standards & work in accordance with ISO standards.
  • TPM’s on all plant facility
  • Line Breakdowns
  • Implementation of Kaizens and Cost reductions
  • Standby responsibility, Start up and switch off responsibility and Weekend duty
  • Quality problem investigation and countermeasure
  • MTTR and MTBF improvement
  • Quality circle’s participation
Qualifications and Experience
    • N3 + Trade test, MILLWRIGHT.
    • Minimum 2-4 years post apprenticeship experience in manufacturing environment (preferable).
    • Experience in pneumatics, electro-pneumatics & Hydraulics
    • PLC’s and Robotics experience would be a plus
    • Must be prepared to work shifts, overtime and standby as and when required.
